CASENITY.com – Soyeon of i-dle is preparing to enter a new chapter of her career with her first full-length solo album, “What a Wonderful Life.” The singer unveiled an introductory trailer on August 25, giving fans an intimate glimpse into the experiences and memories that shaped her as an artist.

The trailer arrived on Soyeon’s 29th birthday, making its release especially meaningful. Rather than functioning solely as a conventional album teaser, the film looks back at her journey from childhood to her rise as one of i-dle’s key creative forces.

Several important stages of Soyeon’s life are featured throughout the video. The narrative begins with childhood memories before moving into her demanding trainee period and her appearance on Mnet’s Produce 101. It eventually reaches the formation and debut of i-dle, followed by the remarkable growth of her career as a songwriter and producer.

Her creative achievements with i-dle are also represented through some of the group’s biggest musical milestones, including “TOMBOY,” “Nxde,” and “Queencard.” These songs became important parts of the group’s identity while simultaneously highlighting Soyeon’s influence behind their music.

The new album therefore appears to be more than simply another solo release. It is being presented as a reflection of the years Soyeon spent building her identity, developing her skills and navigating the music industry throughout her twenties.

In the trailer, Soyeon looks back at her creative philosophy and the desire that has continued to push her forward. She describes her determination to keep finding something new and to constantly improve, revealing the mindset behind her artistic evolution.

She also acknowledges that creating a full-length solo record was something she had delayed for quite some time. After releasing her first mini-album “Windy” in July 2021, she remained heavily involved in i-dle’s group activities and music production before finally taking on the challenge of a full studio album.

The project carries another important dimension because Soyeon has developed a reputation as a hands-on creator. Working under the creative identity Icebluerabbit, she has expanded her production portfolio and even collaborated with international artists such as Anderson .Paak.

Unlike music created primarily for a group setting, “What a Wonderful Life” is expected to place Soyeon’s individual perspective at the center. The album is positioned as a personal account of where she has been and the direction she wants to explore next.

The trailer concludes by confirming that “What a Wonderful Life” will arrive on September 7, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST through major global streaming platforms. With the release date approaching, anticipation is building around how Soyeon will translate her personal journey into a complete solo musical statement.
