CASENITY.com – A new Korean drama titled Love in Disguise is attracting attention with a storyline that combines romance, mystery, and undercover action. Starring Yim Si-wan and Seol In-ah, the series presents an unusual relationship between a powerful heir facing a murder accusation and a former special forces officer who secretly enters his life to investigate the case.

Synopsis of K-Drama Love in Disguise

Yim Si-wan plays Yoon Yi-jun, the successor of the influential Taegang Group. Although he possesses wealth, intelligence, and an impressive appearance, his perfectionist nature makes him difficult to work with. His already complicated life takes a dramatic turn when a murder occurs within his company's environment and he becomes the main suspect.

After the incident, Yi-jun withdraws from the outside world and spends much of his time at home. His circumstances change when he hires a new personal secretary, unaware that the person entering his household has a hidden mission.

That secretary is Kang Jae-hee, portrayed by Seol In-ah. Jae-hee has a background in law enforcement and special forces, giving her extensive combat and investigative skills. To get close to Yi-jun and uncover information surrounding the murder, she disguises herself as a man and assumes the position of his secretary.

Jae-hee's undercover assignment becomes increasingly difficult because Yi-jun is not an easy employer. His demanding personality and unpredictable behavior create constant challenges for her, forcing the investigator to maintain her disguise while dealing with her complicated boss every day.

As the two spend more time together, their initial professional relationship begins to shift. Yi-jun gradually reveals sides of himself that are hidden from other people, while Jae-hee also becomes increasingly entangled in the emotional side of her mission. The situation creates uncertainty over whether their growing connection is based on genuine feelings, trust, or the circumstances surrounding the investigation.

The drama also stands out because it does not rely solely on a conventional office romance. The murder case, secret identity, corporate power struggles, and psychological tension give the relationship between the two protagonists a darker dimension. Their connection develops while both characters continue to hide important truths from one another.

Love in Disguise is adapted from the web novel and webtoon “Why Don't You Know She's a Woman?” The production is directed by Park Dan-hee, with Yim Si-wan and Seol In-ah leading the cast alongside supporting performers including Kim Jung-hyun and Yeonwoo.

Love in Disguise Release Date

With its combination of hidden identities, investigation, suspense, and romance, Love in Disguise could offer a different take on the familiar workplace-romance formula.
